Welcome to the new Social Source Commons!

We are proud to announce the release of a brand new Social Source Commons!

There are three core components to the upgrade:

  • User Interface Redesign: Based on the great feedback we’ve received from many of you, we’ve overhauled the look and feel of SSC. We’ve worked to make the new site familiar to existing users, while integrating new features and streamlining navigation. We’d love to know what you think.
  • Community Toolboxes: We have generalized the concept of “Personal Toolboxes” to allow users to share lists of tools with one another. In a fashion similar to Flickr photo albums, Community Toolboxes will let you create groups of tools by theme, such as “Tools that run on old hardware” or “Tools I use when I’m travelling”. To explore Community Toolboxes and start creating your own, click on the “My Toolboxes” link once you’re logged in to SSC.
  • Enhanced Searching, Tracking and Browsing: We’ve improved the search system, and added features to your SSC home page to help you better find and track the tools you care about.

For your click-through convenience, you can check it all out at

www.socialsourcecommons.org

We heartily invite your feedback and questions as you explore the new Social Source Commons!

We also want to shout out Brattleboro Technology Collective and Quilted for their excellent work in getting the new platform launched!
