Hey, I’m Caroline– I’m working with Aspiration this summer on developing the new Techfinder. In 2010, TechSoup Global and NTEN decided to retire their site TechFinder.org, passing the data on to Aspiration with an invitation to create a next-generation version. For much of the past decade, TechFinder served as a resource to help nonprofits identify technology service providers, and Aspiration is proud to be heading up efforts to get TechFinder back online.
We hope to get lots of feedback from potential users as we move forward, and one of the areas we’d like to begin with is the site’s rating system. Other sites we have looked at to get a sense of what works well include Yelp, Angieslist, Hostelworld, Lasa Suppliers Directory, MatchIT, Ratemyprofessors.com, and Resellerratings.com. There are lots of ways to rate a service provider, and we want your feedback on which you find to be the most effective. Please take our survey to let us know what you think!
